Job Description

About This Role

The program is centered on a Criminal Code–related regulatory initiative with broad enterprise impact across Deposits and Business & Commercial Banking.
Prior experience at CIBC or a large Canadian bank is a strong asset given the enterprise delivery frameworks and governance model in place.

Key Responsibilities

Drive end-to-end delivery for regulatory initiatives across Deposits and Business & Commercial Banking
Own and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones with consistent execution against commitments
Act as the dedicated delivery lead supporting the Program Manager for assigned business lines
Prepare and manage RAID logs, governance materials, and escalation items
Produce weekly status reports, executive summaries, and presentations for senior stakeholders
Partner with legal, compliance, technology, and business teams to close regulatory risks and deficiencies
Anticipate leadership questions and provide clear, concise insights and recommendations
Manage financials including forecasting, planning, tracking, and consolidation of project spend
Navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and regulatory timelines with a structured problem-solving approach
Leverage and reuse delivery templates and best practices across programs

Program Context

Regulatory program tied to Criminal Code requirements (not OSFI-driven)
Broad enterprise impact across multiple business lines
Initial delivery horizon of up to 12 months focused on closing an identified risk/deficiency
Opportunity for continued engagement on additional regulatory programs thereafter

Requirements

Required Qualifications

8+ years of Project Management experience in large, complex enterprise environments
Strong delivery execution with demonstrated ownership of plans and outcomes
Experience working across business and technology teams; ability to understand technical concepts without being hands-on
Comfortable operating in regulated environments alongside legal and compliance teams
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior leadership engagement
Strong financial acumen — forecasting, budgeting, and tracking
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project, and enterprise portfolio tools (e.g., Planview or similar)

Nice to Have

Prior CIBC or large Canadian bank experience
Exposure to regulatory programs (OSFI, Criminal Code, enterprise risk, compliance)
Hybrid PM / BA background or willingness to support light BA activities when required
